Keylite offers a comprehensive range of roof windows, skylights, roof lights and accessories. Renowned within the construction industry, the Keylite range is supplied to projects worldwide.
As part of their commitment to practical and user friendly design, ease of window operation is critical, particularly where windows are positioned out of reach.
The Problem
Customers experienced difficulty opening and closing roof windows installed in high or hard to reach locations.
The existing solution, a specialised manual pole, resulted in:
• Inconvenient operation
• Reduced accessibility for some users
• Limited control flexibility
This created demand for a more modern automated solution.
The Challenge
FSL Electronics were tasked with designing and manufacturing a bespoke, compact, easy to use wireless remote control system to automate the opening and closing of Keylite roof windows.
The solution needed to enhance usability while maintaining reliability and simple installation.
The Solution
FSL’s R&D team developed a wireless control solution that:
✔ Enabled automated remote opening and closing of roof windows
✔ Was optionally supplied to Keylite customers
✔ Integrated rain sensors for automatic weather response
✔ Added thermostatic control, timer functionality and CO2 venting
✔ Supported electric blinds and multiple window control
